The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the list of reservations. This applies to workers engaged in humanitarian demining. This is stated in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 723, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

on 22 June, Government Resolution No. 723 of 18 June 2024 came into force, amending Resolution No. 76 of 27 January 2023 “Some Issues of Implementation of the Provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Mobilisation Preparation and Mobilisation” on Reservation of Persons Liable for Military Service for the Period of Mobilisation and Wartime” regarding the reservation of persons liable for military service for the period of mobilisation and wartime for employees of mine action operators.

The reservation of persons liable for military service for the period of mobilisation and wartime applies to those persons liable for military service who work at enterprises, institutions and organisations that have been assigned mobilisation tasks (orders), as well as at enterprises, institutions and organisations that produce goods, perform works and provide services necessary to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and other military formations, and which are not determined to be critical to meet the needs of the Armed Forces and other military formations, and is carried out by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

According to the resolution, the reservation mechanism now also applies to persons liable for military service who work at enterprises, institutions and organisations (regardless of ownership) “that are mine action operators and carry out demining (humanitarian demining) in accordance with the law”.

ThePermanent Representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, explained that the document provides for the non-application of restrictions on reservations for the period of mobilisation and wartime to demining specialists of mine action operators who are part of groups (departments/divisions) for non-technical, technical survey, clearance, inspection and quality control.

The Resolution also provides for the possibility of cancelling the deferment from military service during mobilisation for persons liable for military service who are employees of a mine action operator, if they fail to perform humanitarian demining work according to a certified process (processes) within 6 months.

Earlier it became known that the Rada is preparing to consider three more draft laws on economic reservation.

The reservation is a special deferral from mobilisation granted to employees of enterprises of particular importance to the state.
