Cabinet of Ministers allocates UAH 150 million for procurement of weapons and equipment for the DIU

The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 150 million from intellectual property fees for the purchase of weapons and equipment for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. The government made the decision at a meeting on November 29, 2024, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to allocate UAH 150 million received by the state-owned enterprise Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property for actions related to the protection of intellectual property rights to purchase weapons and equipment for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine,” the Ministry of Economy said.
It is noted that these funds were transferred to the accounts of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Intellectual Property” in previous years as part of its functions as the National Intellectual Property Authority.
The Ministry reminded that back in September, the Rada allowed state-owned enterprises to transfer unused funds received in previous years while performing the functions of the National Intellectual Property Authority.
The funds must be transferred by December 1, 2024.
