The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 2.4 billion from the state budget reserve fund for payments under the National Cashback program. Another UAH 200 million will be spent on payments under the program to compensate for the cost of Ukrainian industrial machinery. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to him, the National Cashback program and the compensation program for the cost of Ukrainian industrial machinery create a steady demand for Ukrainian products.
In 2025, the share of Ukrainian machinery in the domestic market will increase by 5% and the production of up to 80 new types of machinery will be launched.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian entrepreneurs have received over UAH 313 billion in loans under the Made in Ukraine program.
These loans are used to make investments, finance working capital, set up processing and restore damaged facilities.
Back in late April, it was reported that Ukrainians would receive a record UAH 443 million in March. At the time, the Ministry of Economy said that the system processes millions of transactions to calculate the cashback, which is a complex technological process that takes longer than usual. Since these funds are important to many people, the process is being completed as soon as possible, the press service emphasizes.
As a reminder, in February this year, program participants received UAH 384 million in cashback. At that time, payments were credited to the accounts of 3.2 million people. The National Cashback program was created to support consumers who buy Ukrainian-made goods.
The state returns part of the money spent, stimulating the development of the domestic market and supporting the national producer.
In general, as wrote, the National Cashback program did not work: only 0.001 of GDP growth.
How the National Cashback works
The state returns 10% of the cost of Ukrainian goods from a special list purchased in participating stores. The funds are transferred to a special National Cashback card, which cannot be withdrawn.
The program involves 17 partner banks, including the country’s largest financial institutions. The number of participating manufacturers has reached 1665, and the total number of Ukrainian goods covered by cashback is 360 thousand items.
What you can spend the money on:
- Utilities.
- Medical services.
- Education.
- Transportation.
- Mobile communication.
- Insurance.
- Books and printed materials.
- Medicines and medical products of Ukrainian origin.
- Charity.
- Donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine through charitable foundations.
The maximum cashback amount is 3000 UAH per month.
