The Cabinet of Ministers has reserved bookmakers and Glovo employees from mobilisation

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has exempted betting companies, advertising agencies and companies with owners from the United States of America from mobilisation. The list includes Glovo, Favbet and Visa Ukraine, among others. This was reported by MP Oleksandr Fediyenko on Telegram with reference to the Government’s order, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the document, the list includes six companies, namely:
- Glovoapp Ukraine LLC (Glovo delivery);
- Favbet Tech LLC (a company with a similar name accepts bets on sports Favbet);
- SSM (advertising agency);
- Visa Ukraine LLC (business consulting services, owned by two American companies);
- AgriCheyne LLC (part of the Astarta agricultural holding);
- KORT LLC (development of electronic warfare systems and drones)
“To book for GLOVOAPP UKRAINE LLC, FAVBET TEK LLC, SE SSM, VISA UKRAINE LLC, AGRI CHAIN LLC and KORT LLC for the period of mobilisation and wartime the persons liable for military service who work in these companies and for the enterprise, according to the lists approved by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (registration number 300/1/C/16455 of 03.04.2024),”
– the Government order says.
Reservists will be granted a 6-month deferral from military service during mobilisation.
“We need money to maintain the army. But sometimes even the heads of the TCC cannot understand why companies that produce drones and electronic warfare equipment do not book them because they do not meet the criteria. But they are forced to book the ones on the list, the law requires it…”
– the MP wrote.
He noted that at all meetings he calls on the Ministry of Strategic Industry to change the criteria for reservations from mobilisation. Since the enterprises that produce electronic warfare devices and drones cannot a priori have these points, which the Ministry has laid down.
“Blackouts have now begun, though they are local, and everyone is talking about telecom operators. However, the operators have been flushed out (mobilised) of service personnel! There is no one to run around to repair or change batteries. And those who are left don’t want to travel because they don’t have armour. I’m telling you, I warned you. There is no communication, no electricity, which of these companies will work?”
– Fediyenko emphasised.
The GLOVO company commented on the information about their employees’ reservations.
“Couriers do not have reservations because they are not employees of the company, but a partner,”
– the company said.
It should be noted that the TV channels participating in the United News telethon are recognised as critical to the functioning of the economy and the life of the population during the special period. This status implies that the telethon’s employees receive mobilisation reservations. The relevant orders are published on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
