The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for paying monetary compensation for unused vacation days to family members of military and police officers in the event of their death. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada , Taras Melnychuk , on Telegram.
It is stipulated that in the year of death, the number of calendar days of leave is used to determine the amount of monetary compensation for annual basic leave and additional leave:
servicemen:
- basic leave – from 30 to 45 calendar days, depending on the length of service
- additional leave – from 2 to 15 calendar days depending on the place of service and position.
police officers:
- basic leave – 30 calendar days
- additional leave – from 1 to 15 calendar days depending on the length of service.
This applies to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, the State Protection Service, the State Special Communications Service, the State Special Transport Service and police officers of the National Police.
