Cabinet of Ministers dismisses head of the State Water Agency Yanchuk

The Cabinet of Ministers has dismissed Mykhailo Yanchuk from the post of head of the State Agency for Water Resources of Ukraine. This was announced by the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The Cabinet of Ministers made the decision at a meeting on Friday, 11 October.

The Cabinet of Ministers also dismissed Maksym Rivtin from the post of deputy head of the State Agency of Water Resources, who was responsible for digital development, transformation and digitalisation.

The reasons for the change were not disclosed.

Ihor V. Hopchak has been temporarily appointed as the acting Head of the State Agency of Water Resources of Ukraine.

Yanchuk became the head of the State Agency of Water Resources in November 2023.

Previously, Yanchuk worked as Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories for European Integration.
