“Casino.ua and Favbet received millions in fines for false information

The gambling regulator PlayCity has imposed fines on two licensed operators – KAZINO.UA LLC and FAVBET BOOKMARKET COMPANY LLC. The sanctions were imposed for providing inaccurate information and untimely responses to official requests from the regulator. This is reported by the press service of the agency, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs
Each of the companies received two fines:
- uAH 400 thousand for violation of the requirements for completeness and accuracy of information;
- uAH 1.2 million for late response to official requests from PlayCity.
Thus, the total amount of sanctions for each operator is UAH 1.6 million.
PlayCity emphasizes that it responds to every violation and all appeals from citizens, ensuring compliance with the rules in the market. The strengthening of control is aimed at forming a legal and responsible gambling market in Ukraine, where operators are obliged to interact transparently with the regulator and provide timely and accurate data.
Enhanced supervision and inspections
The regulator received a clear and legal mechanism for conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections. Over the past six months, inspections have already resulted in fines of tens of millions of hryvnias, which, according to the agency, is a signal to all market participants about the inevitability of responsibility.
In addition, PlayCity notes that players and content makers (including bloggers) now clearly understand the grounds for control and requirements for responsible advertising and interaction with operators.
Regulator’s position
The agency emphasizes that compliance with the regulator’s requirements is a prerequisite for casinos and bookmakers.
Violations related to information interaction are considered significant as they affect market transparency and consumer protection.
