In an interview with The Telegraph, US Special Representative Keith Kellogg said that he disagreed with US leader Donald Trump on the plan to end the war in Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to him, the head of the White House wants to sign a peace treaty, not a ceasefire. In turn, Kellogg believes that a peace agreement should follow a ceasefire.

“Russia understands that if the shooting stops, it will be difficult to resume it. That’s why I’m in favor of a ceasefire first. President Trump wants peace right away, but it’s difficult,” he said.

During the interview, Kellogg also noted that Trump shows more dissatisfaction with Putin in private conversations than he does in public. According to him, the American leader is actually annoyed that his personal relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin is not working.
