Kennedy Jr. withdraws from the race, and Trump offers him a place in the administration

Independent US presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. has announced that he is suspending his campaign and will support Donald Trump. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to The Washington Post.

Kennedy said he could not ask people to support him if he had no “real path to the White House”. He said he was drawn to Trump by issues such as freedom of speech and the war in Ukraine.

Kennedy said he no longer believes he has a realistic path to victory, so he has asked authorities in 10 key swing states to remove his name from the ballot.

Kennedy also added that he will keep his name on the ballot in some states that will not affect the outcome of the November election.

The publication notes that Kennedy has been in talks with the Trump campaign about a role in his administration if Trump wins in November.

Some time after Kennedy’s statement, Trump told reporters that he had proposed to select Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the position of the administration.

In Arizona, Kennedy appeared on stage with Trump, who acknowledged that they “don’t agree on everything” but that their values are the same.
