Vadym Yatsenko, director of the Gomin choir from Lviv, was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine

The President has awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine to Vadym Yatsenko, chief choirmaster of the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and director of the Gomin choir.

The corresponding decree was published on the website of the President’s Office, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded cultural figures with state awards on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art, which is celebrated on November 9.

“For a significant personal contribution to the development of national culture and art, significant creative achievements and high professional skills, I hereby decree: to confer the honorary title of Honored Artist of Ukraine on Vadym Ruslanovych Yatsenko, chief choirmaster of the Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Solomiya Krushelnytska,” the text of the decree reads.

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the following figures from the Lviv region:

order of Merit of the III degree was awarded to Dmytro Pavlovych Hanzha (posthumously), a junior researcher at the Bohdan Voznytskyi Lviv National Art Gallery;

the title of “People’s Artist of Ukraine” was awarded to Norchuk Oleksandr Fedorovych – drama artist of the National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Maria Zankovetska, Lviv;

the title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine” was awarded to Mykola Golovchak, a teacher at the Sambir Professional College of Culture and Arts, Lviv region;

the title of “Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine” was awarded to Stepan Stasiuk, Deputy General Director and Artistic Director of the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
