Kharkiv entrepreneurs exempted from paying some taxes until the end of the year

Kharkiv has exempted entrepreneurs from paying real estate tax, land tax and the single tax for sole proprietors of group 4 until the end of 2024. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

“We have good news for Kharkiv business! By the decision of today’s session, we have extended the exemption of all our entrepreneurs from paying real estate tax, land tax and the single tax for Group 4 sole proprietors until the end of 2024,” the mayor said.

He added that Kharkiv took such a bold step to support the business sector, even at the cost of losing significant revenues to the city budget.

“We understand how important these benefits are in times of war and that they will allow business owners to invest more working capital in the development of their business,” Terekhov said.

It is worth noting that from 1 April to 30 June 2024, the tax liability for individuals, legal entities and entrepreneurs in Kharkiv was cancelled after the calculation of rent for communal land plots. The land tax rate on plots owned by individuals and legal entities will be 0% of their normative monetary value.

Also, for this period, the tax rate for immovable property (unless it is a land plot owned by legal entities) is set at 0%.

In addition, single taxpayers of the fourth group (entrepreneurs who grow, feed, catch, collect or process agricultural products) have been granted a 100% reduction in tax liabilities.

We would like to add that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to postpone voting on the draft law on tax increases until October 2024, and the document itself has undergone significant changes.
