“Chersonese on fire: Ukrainian Navy destroys enemy’s eyes over the Black Sea

In the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, on the territory of the Chersonese airfield, the forces and means of the Ukrainian Navy successfully destroyed a base of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.
This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy on Facebook, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The strike destroyed at least five enemy drones – three Mohajer-6 and two Forpost. These devices were actively used by Russian troops to conduct reconnaissance and monitor the surface situation in the Black Sea.
Chersonesos Airfield
This facility in Sevastopol is of strategic importance to Russian forces, as it serves as a base for reconnaissance and attack drones that monitor Ukrainian forces and shipping in the region. The destruction of the base is an important step in neutralizing Russia’s ability to control the maritime zone.
Enemy losses
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total combat losses of Russian troops from the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to August 22, 2025, amount to approximately 1,074,320 people, including 790 in the last day.
This strike was another example of the effective work of Ukrainian forces in the enemy’s deep rear. The Ukrainian Navy continues to demonstrate the ability to conduct precision strikes on critical military facilities of the Russian Federation, in particular in the occupied Crimea, which has a significant impact on the operational situation in the region.
