While on a working visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the United States to lift all restrictions on strikes on Russian territory after the Russian Armed Forces attacked the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv. This was reported by [Kommersant] citing a question and answer session at the Presidential Foundation and the Ronald Reagan Institute.

As an example, Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned Kharkiv and the US decision that stopped the Russian offensive and constant attacks on the city.

He noted that if all restrictions were lifted and Ukraine was allowed to destroy Russian aircraft on Russian territory, it would allow Ukraine to defend other cities.

The Ukrainian leader also emotionally commented on the missile attack on the children’s hospital by Russian troops. The President of Ukraine believes that Russia deliberately attacked the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv on the eve of the NATO summit. According to him, in such situations, “I want to kill” Putin.

“I am a father, I am a president, I am a human being. When you see these people, parents, when their children are dying – at such moments you want to kill Putin,” Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine also called the attack on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital a signal from Vladimir Putin to the world that he would “act in this way”.

“Putin does not think about what is happening in Ukraine. The missile was not flying at a military facility, and there was nothing wrong with it. No, the missile flew straight at the hospital. And this is not the first time,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
