Who will be in the new Cabinet: Svyrydenko promises to name names soon
15 July 00:17
The first steps toward forming a new Cabinet of Ministers have already been taken. Yulia Svyrydenko, who was nominated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to be Prime Minister of Ukraine, has announced her readiness to announce her own proposals for the composition of the future government in the near future. She wrote about this on her Facebook page, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
“I will announce my proposals for government members soon,” Svyrydenko said.
According to her, the President of Ukraine has identified the key tasks that the new government will face. These include strengthening the country’s economic potential, expanding social programs and scaling up domestic arms production.
“I am grateful to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his trust and for the opportunity to serve Ukraine at this crucial time,” she wrote.
Svyrydenko also emphasized that the realization of these goals requires profound changes in the public administration system
“These tasks can be realized through tangible deregulation, elimination of any bureaucratic obstacles, reduction of non-critical public expenditures and duplication of functions of state institutions, protection of entrepreneurship and full concentration of state resources for the sake of Ukraine’s defense and recovery from hostilities,” she explained.
The potential head of the government emphasized that support for the defense sector remains a top priority.
“First and foremost, it is to provide for the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine and ensure the stability of our country. The state apparatus has no right to waste the resources and potential of our country. Ukraine deserves to be among the strongest economies in Europe,” Svyrydenko said.
She also drew attention to the need to strengthen social support.
“Ukrainian society should receive clearer tools of social support. Every Ukrainian soldier, every Ukrainian veteran deserves concrete and tangible state respect and gratitude,” she emphasized.
Svyrydenko added that the final decision on her candidacy, as well as on the new Cabinet of Ministers, belongs to the Verkhovna Rada.
“The decision to appoint the Prime Minister of Ukraine is made by the Verkhovna Rada. We are preparing to interact with the Parliament and present the relevant governmental steps,” she summarized.
It should be noted that today, July 15, Yulia Svyrydenko will be introduced to the Servant of the People faction as the future Prime Minister. Candidates for ministers who will work under her leadership are to be discussed there.
