EBU to decide who will host Junior Eurovision 2026

Following the results of Junior Eurovision, the winning country is not automatically obliged to host the contest next year. In this regard, in the coming weeks, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will work with the participating broadcasters, including France Télévision, which won, to determine the next host.

Viewers from 18 member states and 170 other countries helped determine the winner by voting online. A total of 2.5 million votes were received – 200,000 more than in 2024. A jury of three music industry experts and two children aged 10 to 15 from each participating country also gave their verdict. Both scores were added to the final result.
