Who will go to Eurovision 2025: the longlist of the Ukrainian national selection is announced

The public broadcaster has announced the names of 20 participants in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The list of those wishing to represent Ukraine at the song contest in Switzerland includes 20 Ukrainian artists. The list includes both debutants and those who are already familiar to Euro fans. In particular, FIЇNKA, Ziferblat, YAGODY and KHAYAT decided to try their hand for the second time
In particular, the longlist includes:
- Brykulets;
- Enleo;
- FIіnka;
- Future Culture;
- Grisana;
- Khayat;
- Krylata;
- Molodi;
- Mon Fia;
- Ranrawi;
- Starykova Hrystyna;
- Teslenko;
- Yagody;
- Ziferblat;
- Abiye;
- “DK Energetik;
- Masha Kondratenko;
- “Listen to Sasha;
- Vlad Sheriff.
The next step is the auditions. The nine finalists will be announced soon. The tenth participant will be chosen by the audience through online voting.
“Among the participants of the longlist who do not make it to the list of finalists based on the results of the auditions, an online rating vote will be held to determine another participant in the final,” the organizers add.
It should be noted that the organizers of the Ukrainian National Selection for Eurovision 2025 have received 369 applications from artists who want to take part in the contest.
During this time, 374 songs were submitted by 304 artists – some of them submitted several songs.
In total, 232 solo artists and 72 bands submitted their songs to the competition. The applications came not only from Ukraine but also from abroad – from Sweden, Germany, Poland, the USA, France, Spain, and the UK.
The full list of finalists will be published by January 17, 2025.
The final of the National Selection will take place in February 2025. The winner will be announced based on the results of the jury and audience voting. He or she will represent Ukraine at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest to be held in the Swiss city of Basel in May 2025.

The grand final will be held at the St. Jakobshalle arena on Saturday, May 17, and the semifinals will take place on May 13 and 15, 2025.
