27 August 23:10

The ten largest agricultural companies in Ukraine (mainly chicken producers and grain traders) earned a total of UAH 118.1 billion in the first half of 2025. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to a study by YouControl.Market analysts.

In the first half of 2025, the ten largest companies in the industry collectively received UAH 118.1 billion in revenue. The top 10 legal entities of the Ukrainian agribusiness include primarily powerful exporters of grain and oilseeds, as well as poultry producers.

The undisputed leader is Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC, the flagship asset of MHP (Myronivsky Hliboproduct) agricultural holding. In 6 months of 2025, the company earned UAH 26.8 billion. The second place goes to Eridon, a distributor of seeds, fertilizers and plant protection products. In the first half of 2025, the company earned UAH 22.8 billion. Myronivska Poultry Farm PJSC ranks third with revenue of UAH 12.8 billion.

The rest of the top ten is occupied mainly by international grain traders and their Ukrainian subsidiaries. In particular, these are Louis Dreyfus Company Ukraine LLC (UAH 11.5 billion in the first half of the year), Lebedynskyi Seed Plant PJSC (UAH 9.3 billion), JV Nibulon LLC (UAH 8.4 billion), Agroprosperis Trade LLC (UAH 8.3 billion), Ceefji Trading LLC (UAH 6.5 billion), and Cargill JSC LLC (UAH 6.1 billion). Granova Ukraine LLC rounds out the top ten with revenue of UAH 5.5 billion in the first half of 2025.

Despite the challenges of wartime, Ukraine’s agricultural sector demonstrates resilience and flexibility. This inspires cautious optimism: even now, in extremely difficult conditions, the agricultural sector remains one of the drivers of the economy. Ukrainian agrarians – from farmers to agroholdings – are already laying the groundwork for the country’s food security by continuing to work where it is safer and more feasible.

2021-2024: recession, adaptation, stabilization

While 2021 was a favorable year for agricultural development, in the first year of the full-scale war, the number of new agricultural companies decreased by almost half (to 1.7 thousand), and the registration of individual entrepreneurs fell by 12% (to 3.8 thousand).

In 2023, the agricultural sector began to adapt to the new conditions2 thousand companies and 4.3 thousand individual entrepreneurs were registered, almost returning to pre-war business start-up volumes. the year 2024 brought even more interesting changes. The total number of newly established agricultural companies remained virtually unchanged compared to the previous year (1.9 thousand in 2024 vs. 2 thousand in 2023). Instead, there was a real boom among individual entrepreneurs:5.9 thousand individual entrepreneurs were registered during the year, which is 36% more than in 2023 and even higher than the pre-war figure of 2021.
