Several thousand Ukrainian OnlyFans models don’t pay taxes, and not always because they don’t want to

5,000 Ukrainian OnlyFans models earned $123 million in 2020-2022, but did not pay taxes on this income due to the lack of a legal framework. This conclusion can be drawn from a post in Telegram by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, reports
He recalled that the day before, MPs had submitted a bill to the parliament to decriminalize porn, and stressed that “strangely enough, it is also about taxes.”
According to the deputy, it is known that the tax authorities have data, for example, on OnlyFans on the income of Ukrainian models for 2020-2022, and in theory they can easily charge taxes.
“For your understanding, we are talking about more than 5,000 people who have received a total of about $8 million in income over the years: in 2020, more than $35 million in income, and almost $80 million in income in 2022,” Yaroslav Zheleznyak said.
As the MP explained, the OnlyFans platform itself already pays taxes in Ukraine. But there are questions to the “Ukrainian actors”. Or rather, not only to them.
According to the deputy, even if these people were willing to pay taxes, it is impossible, because as of now, they are actually confessing to a crime.
Yaroslav Zheleznyak expressed hope that this is a sufficient argument for those who still believe that it is “not time” to remove this medieval norm.
Apparently, we are talking about Article 301 of the Criminal Code, according to which people can even be imprisoned for filming and distributing intimate videos. The bill on decriminalizing porn has changed this article.
