The number of industrial parks in Ukraine is approaching 100: another one has appeared in Ternopil region

Another industrial park will appear in Ternopil region, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the Ternopil Regional State Administration.
The BIO-LAN industrial park will be established in the Lanivtsi city territorial community of Ternopil region, which is expected to have a significant economic impact on the region.
The purpose of the industrial park is to develop grain processing facilities and stimulate the development of alternative energy sources in the region.
The project is expected to bring more than 200 new jobs, €110 million in investments, and annual revenues to the local budget of UAH 7 million.
“The BIO-LAN Industrial Park will be functional in the processing industry, in particular, in bioethanol and biogas production. The planned real estate objects will include office, retail, industrial and warehouse premises, as well as engineering buildings,”
– said Vyacheslav Nehoda, head of the regional military administration.
The main engineering and transport infrastructure of the industrial park, including access roads and railways, water supply and sewerage networks and facilities, and gas supply, is currently under active construction.
An elevator complex and warehouse buildings with an oil transfer station are also under construction, as well as an administrative building, and facilities for bioethanol and biogas production are being built.
The documentation for registration of the industrial park has already been submitted to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
In total, four industrial parks have already been registered in Ternopil region, and three more are planned to be created by the end of the year.

Industrial parks in Ukraine
An industrial park is a specially designated area for the location of enterprises engaged in manufacturing activities. Such parks provide infrastructure and organizational conditions for business development, in particular in the processing industry, manufacturing, high-tech and other areas.
Their main goal is to promote economic development, attract investment, create new jobs, and reduce costs for enterprises through centralized provision of necessary resources, such as energy, water, sewage, and transportation networks. Industrial parks are also an important part of regional economic development policy.
The number of industrial parks in Ukraine is approaching a hundred. Moreover, their number almost doubled during the full-scale war with Russia. According to Artur Melezhyk, Head of the Department of Industrial Parks and Investment Support at the Ministry of Economy, 53 industrial parks were registered in Ukraine in early 2022, and as of September 2024, there were already 92.
However, in December 2023, the Verkhovna Rada’s Industrial Policy Committee reported that only 10 industrial parks were actually operating in the country at that time.
