Death toll in Kyiv rises to 22: there are people under the rubble

The nighttime Russian attack on the capital killed 22 people, including 4 children. The rescue operation continues. Up to ten people may still be trapped under the rubble. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) Timur Tkachenko and the State Emergency Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
At least 63 people were injured, including six children.
According to Tkachenko, search and rescue operations are underway at the site of the attack in the Darnytskyi district. As of 23:00, 22 people have been confirmed dead. Timur Tkachenko announced that rescue operations will continue.
“Search and rescue operations are ongoing at the main location in the Darnytskyi district and will continue throughout the night. There are people who have not been contacted since the attack. Therefore, unfortunately, the number of confirmed dead will grow. We already know about 4 dead children, the youngest is only two years old,” said Tkachenko.
Headquarters have been set up in the affected Darnytsia district to help the affected residents. Specialists are working on processing residents’ appeals.
As of this evening, 225 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv. Along with non-residential buildings, garages, courtyards and public buildings, all districts of the capital have been damaged.
In total, more than 5,400 broken windows were counted in the capital, most of them – almost 4,000 – in the Holosiivskyi district.
