New sociological data has been released in Kyiv that outlines the political attitudes of the capital’s residents. According to the survey, Mayor Vitali Klitschko maintains a strong lead and has no real competitors in the upcoming mayoral elections. 40% of Kyiv residents are ready to vote for him, and the level of trust in the current mayor has reached 52%.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

The closest to him are TV presenter and public figure Serhiy Prytula with 15.9% of support, and military officer Maksym Zhorin with 8.9%. The rest of the potential candidates do not overcome the 5% threshold.

As for the elections to the Kyiv City Council, the conventional party of Valeriy Zaluzhnyi would win the first place in the voters’ sympathies, receiving 20.2% of the votes. The second would be the UDAR party, led by Vitali Klitschko, with 15.7%, and the third position would be taken by the bloc associated with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with 11.7%.

According to the poll, the Third Assault Party (8.7%), Azov (8.1%), and a political force associated with the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov (7.8%), could also get into the Kyiv City Council.

European Solidarity (6.8%) and Serhiy Prytula’s party (5.5%) remain on the verge of passing.

The level of satisfaction with the work of Mayor Klitschko reaches almost 50%, while only 26% of Kyiv residents approve of the work of the city council members. The least trusted is the head of the KCSA, Tymur Tkachenko, with only 13% of Kyiv residents satisfied with his work.

These data demonstrate Klitschko’s stable position in the political landscape of the capital, as well as the growing public demand for new political forces, especially those associated with the military leadership.
