The first book in the trilogy by former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi is now on sale. “My War tells the story of himself, his thoughts and life decisions. The former commander-in-chief said this in his telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The book was published by the Babylonian Library publishing house. The paper version costs 550 hryvnias. According to the book’s annotation, it “closely intertwines events of different times: from a peaceful school in the 80s in Novohrad-Volynskyi (now Zvyagel – ed.), he (Zaluzhnyi – ed.) will take you to Donbas in 2015 to a dilapidated classroom, from the barracks of a military school to the trenches and dugouts of 2014, from a cozy apartment inhabited by a friendly family to the bunkers of the government quarter in 2022…”
“My War is the first book in a trilogy I started working on in March 2023. The manuscripts were put together and edited by my wife, for which I am very grateful. This is a storybook for young people, to whom I want to convey an important truth: everything is possible in life if you really want it. Dream and follow your dreams,” Zaluzhny wrote.
He added that this is a book about “his war”: with his own fears that prevent him from doing something, with people who prevent him from achieving his goals, about the war with circumstances that become obstacles in life.
As a reminder, on July 11, Valeriy Zaluzhny officially took up his duties as Ambassador to the UK.
Earlier, Kommersant Ukrainian
reported that Zaluzhnyi could not travel to London because he did not have a British visa. It is still not known what exactly prevented him from obtaining a visa, as sources claimed that there were no reasonable grounds for delaying the visa.
As you know, on February 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was replaced by Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The media reported that Zaluzhnyi had undergone a military qualification examination in the winter and was found unfit for military service, and in February he wrote a letter of resignation from military service.
Later it became known that Zaluzhnyi could take up the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom. on March 7, the Foreign Ministry announced the “launch of the appointment procedure” for the ambassador, and recently it became known that Zaluzhnyi had received an agriman from the UK.
