When the first star will shine on Christmas Eve: exact time for the largest cities of Ukraine

One of the main symbols of Christmas is the Christmas star. Its appearance in the sky on the evening of December 24 signals the beginning of the celebration. Universe Space Tech writes about it, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Ukrainians are waiting for the first star to appear with special trepidation. It symbolizes the star that, according to the Bible, showed the way to the birthplace of Jesus Christ. This light became a guiding light for the wise men who came to worship the baby with gifts. Today, the appearance of this star is a signal to the family that they can sit down to the festive table, starting the evening with kutia and other traditional dishes.
In 2024, the “Christmas star” will be Venus, which can be seen with the naked eye right after sunset. The earliest it will shine is in eastern Ukraine, in particular in Luhansk region, at 15:31, and the latest – in Zakarpattia, at 16:39.
