The Cabinet of Ministers has today approved a resolution according to which military unit commanders will submit reports on enemy damage in the Army app. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
As explained by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, this will allow to digitalize and streamline reporting on the results of hostilities in our troops.
“Units of the Armed Forces and the National Guard will be able to provide the General Staff with daily reports on enemy damage through the Army. The reports will be synchronized between the application and the DELTA combat system, which will ensure the objectivity and transparency of the data,” the minister emphasized.
Why it is important
Thanks to these reports, it will be possible to
– keep an objective record of confirmed enemy losses,
– constantly monitor the effectiveness of commanders and units according to clear criteria
– analyze the effectiveness of different types of weapons and ammunition on the battlefield,
– optimize the production and supply of the most effective weapons.
How will it be possible to report
The Ministry of Defense assures that this can be done very easily, in a few minutes. And most importantly, without any paperwork. Such a report will be able to be attached to a confirmation from the DELTA combat system. Then all the data will be sent to the General Staff.
“This is a revolution and an impetus for major changes in the army, when decisions will be made on the principle of data-driven, not from the head,” said Deputy Minister of Defense Kateryna Chernogorenko.
As part of the pilot project, submission of damage reports will be possible in individual units. If successful, it is planned to extend the project to all units of the Defense Forces.
Domestically produced weapons, which will prove their effectiveness thanks to digital reports from the battlefield, may also find a place among the Weapons of Victory.
Ukrainian gunsmiths already have something to offer
“Weapons of Victory” is the name given to the list of samples (complexes, systems) of weapons, military and special equipment produced and supplied by domestic manufacturers. The Government has today approved the Procedure for compiling the list of these models.
State customers of weapons and military equipment will have to take this list into account when planning public procurement.
The list will be compiled by the Ministry of Defense based on the needs identified by the General Staff and state customers, taking into account the capabilities of the Ukrainian defense industry, submitted by the Ministry of Strategic Industries.
Criteria for compiling the list:
– the weapons samples form the basis of the unified staff of the defense and security forces;
– the samples of weapons have been adopted, codified and/or approved for use;
– the need for such models of weapons will continue for the next three, five or ten years;
– the production of weapons samples has been mastered and is being mass-produced by domestic defense industry enterprises;
– localization of production of weapons samples is at least 50% of the production cost of the goods. The degree of localization will be calculated using a special formula.
