Companies under the NSDC sanctions earn hundreds of millions of hryvnias: which areas are leading

Almost 200 companies in Ukraine are under sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). Despite the restrictions, some of them continue to make significant profits. This is evidenced by the data of the Open Data Bot, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Sanctioned companies: who earns the most
In total, the National Security and Defense Council list includes 197 companies as of September 2025. Among the largest by revenue:
- “UKR GAME TECHNOLOGIES (Pin-Up ) – UAH 1.97 billion,
- “High Voltage Union-RZVA – UAH 71.3 million,
- “Mashzavod – UAH 56.7 million,
- “Tysagaz – UAH 41.1 million,
- “Auto-Mat – UAH 19 million.
Thus, even under the sanctions pressure, companies in various industries remain profitable.
Kyiv is the center of the largest sanctioned companies
The largest concentration of companies under sanctions is recorded in the capital. There are 112 companies registered in Kyiv, which is more than half of the total list.
For comparison:
- 17 companies in Odesa region,
- in Lviv region – 12,
- chernivtsi and Donetsk regions – 9 each.
What sectors are most often under sanctions
The data analysis shows that companies operating in the following sectors are most often subject to sanctions
- wholesale trade – 31%,
- construction works – 9.6%,
- information services and media production – 4.1% each,
- organization of gambling – 3.6%.
Dynamics of inclusion in the NSDC list
In 2024, 123 companies were added to the sanctions list, which is more than 62% of all those currently on the list.
For comparison:
- 2021 – 38 companies,
- 2022 – 20,
- 2023 – 11,
- 2025 – only 5.
The duration of sanctions
Most companies are restricted until 2027 – 103 companies. Also:
- 10 companies – until 2026,
- 40 companies – until 2034,
- 28 companies are under indefinite sanctions,
- 7 companies – until 2073.
Who was removed from the list
The sanctions list is gradually updated. For the entire period:
- 32 companies had their sanctions lifted,
- 217 companies had their sanctions terminated after the expiration of the term.
Among the companies that have been removed from the list, the largest revenues in 2024 were reported by:
- M.S.L. – over UAH 310 million,
- Interim – almost UAH 95.5 million,
- Patriot – over UAH 43 million.
