Meta is developing its monetization program for content creators on the Facebook platform. From now on, participants in the Content Monetization program can receive income from views of their Stories. This was reported by AIN with reference to Meta’s website, "Komersant Ukrainian" informs.
It is noted that this feature is available worldwide, Creators who are not yet members of the content monetization program can apply for participation on the official Meta website.
Contributors’ income will depend on the effectiveness of the content. In addition, Stories must be public to be monetized.
The new option allows you to:
– earn money on already created content by publishing video fragments or clips in their stories;
– earn money by sharing interesting moments of everyday life.
Meta shares best monetization practices
The company recommends several ways to optimize content for monetization:
– It is advisable to experiment with different content formats: you can make money from videos, photos, stories, and text posts. It is worth trying different formats to see what resonates with the audience and contributes to the profit.
– It’s important to create original content: the most popular posts are those filmed or created by yourself. It is original content that demonstrates a unique point of view that is valued by Facebook.
– It is also worth focusing on audience engagement: content that encourages interaction, such as reactions, comments, and sharing, is usually more effective.
What explains this commercial offer of the company
This initiative is part of Meta’s strategy to encourage content creators to use Facebook more actively, particularly in competition with Instagram and other platforms.
In January, the company launched a bonus program that offered up to $5,000 to creators with a presence on other social networks for posting a certain amount of photo and video content on Instagram and Facebook.
The launch of the new monetization program also comes amid uncertainty about the future of TikTok in the United States.
Earlier, for the same reasons, Instagram began to consider launching its Reels short video feature as a separate app.
Meta has a new goal: more freedom of speech and fewer content restrictions
Meta has decided to abandon fact-checkers on Facebook and Instagram and instead rely on users to report fake news and misleading information.
As Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained at the time, Meta will discontinue its independent third-party fact-checking program starting in the United States.
