“Bloody Autumn” under swarms of shahedin: whether Ukraine will withstand Russian attacks and whether it is necessary to leave the cities
20 June 14:19
Ukraine is on the verge of a new stage of war – drone warfare. Russia is launching mass production of Shaheds and changing attack tactics. Against the backdrop of rapper and military man Oleksandr Yarmak’s emotional address about the “bloody fall” and military observer Sergey Flesh’s statements about “the end of infrastructure,” Ukrainians are left between fear, reality, and hope. Is Russia really capable of “blowing up the whole country with Shaheds”? What is behind Yarmak’s words about the “bloody fall” – intelligence or emotion? How the state actually reacts and whether we have a technical response – more in the material
Russia has already launched a large-scale production of attack drones such as “Shahed” and further expand these capacities. This statement was made by a specialist in the field of military radio technologies Sergei Flesh.
“As you know, I am an optimist and sound the alarm only in extreme cases. Russia will “blow” us the whole country with “Shaheds”. They have scaled production and are still scaling. If we don’t act now, our infrastructure, production, and defenses are finished,” Flesch said.
The only way out is to mass produce interceptor drones and deploy them nationwide. There is no more time, summarizes Sergei Flesh
Serhiy Bratchuk, a representative of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, has the same position. He emphasizes: the war has long ago moved into the phase of technological competition, where drones have become a key tool of attack and defense.
“Russia is actively experimenting with tactics – changing altitudes, speed, even the color of drones to complicate the work of mobile fire groups. But our engineers are not standing still either. We are already testing a new generation of interceptors – anti-aircraft drones that can destroy Shaheds more effectively and more cheaply without involving air defense systems,” Sergey Bratchuk said.
According to him, such drones have already started to be detected in the south of the country, in particular in Odessa region. We are talking not only about the classic “Shaheds”, but also about new modifications flying with jet speed.
“Bloody Autumn”: Yarmak warns of threats, CPD urges not to panic
Famous Ukrainian musician, rapper and at the same time the company commander of the 412th regiment “Nemesis” of the Unmanned Systems Force of the AFU Alexander Yarmak (Yarmak) made an alarming appeal on his Instagram after another missile strike on Kiev.
“Unfortunately, this is just the beginning. A terrible bloody fall awaits us. If possible, go to live outside the city, to relatives, in any conditions, away from strategic critical infrastructure. Respond to the alarms,” – wrote Yarmak in storiz.
His words were an emotional reaction to increased attacks by rf kamikaze drones and missiles on Ukrainian cities, as well as threatening predictions of an autumn escalation.
In response to such alarming statements, the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council urged Ukrainians to remain calm and not to succumb to information terror from the enemy.
“Russia will continue massive terror with drones and information attacks to break Ukrainians and achieve the surrender of the rear,” said the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andriy Kovalenko.
According to Kovalenko, the enemy launches not only swarms of drones in the air, but also waves of psychological pressure in the information environment: on the internal audience – messages about Ukraine’s alleged inability to defend itself, on the external audience – a fake narrative about “Russia’s readiness to negotiate,” which contradicts the real actions of the occupiers.
“Bloody Autumn” or information panic: what really awaits Ukrainians
Do not sow panic and draw conclusions from verified sources, this is what ex-SBU officer and military expert Ivan Stupak calls for in his commentary
“Well look, these are loud statements. We should ask Yarmak himself – where did he get such information from? Western intelligence has no such data, ours – too. But the singer does? The question is: is he not haipuya by chance?” – stupak said.
Unlike Yarmak’s emotional appeal, Stupak recognizes that Officer Flash’s words are based on real threats: Russia is indeed actively increasing production of Shahed-type drones. That said, Ukraine is not powerless and already has effective countermeasure tools.
“Yes, mobile fire groups have already exhausted their potential. They are still important, but they are already a ‘spare tire’. It is not worth counting on them as the main force. But! We have intercepting drones. The first effective applications are from April. They are already working and aptly”, – Ivan Stupak noted.
According to Stupak, the key to safety is in the system approach.
“We need to scale these developments. It is possible. The main thing is for the state to finance, and the main thing is not to interfere with the people who are doing it. Then we can not only defend ourselves, but also be confident in our own air shield,” Ivan Stupak added.
Ukraine is indeed facing a new challenge – the drone threat has scaled up. But this war is not only about missiles, but also about psychological stamina.
Yes, there are more Shaheds. Yes, russia is adapting. But Ukraine is already giving an answer: new interceptors are appearing on the front line, the technological initiative is not lost.
Therefore, instead of panic – coordination, instead of despondency – scaling their own solutions. And while Russian messages sow fear, our strategy should sow confidence.
