NABU Head Semen Kryvonos commented on the departure of businessman and Mindas suspect Timur Mindich from the country. According to him, the Bureau did not contact the border guards because of fears of leaks. He said this during a speech at the Verkhovna Rada Committee, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

He explained that the Bureau did not exercise covert control over the defendant’s movements, as it did not wiretap his phone:

“We did not control his movements because we did not control his phone. Our informing the Border Guard Service that a person was going to leave is also a risk of information leakage,” he said.

Kryvonos added that the information circulating on anonymous Telegram channels about the alleged deliberate assistance of detectives in Mindich’s departure “is manipulative.”

In turn, the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Oleksandr Klymenko , said that during the special operation, signs of possible information leaks were recorded.

“We had several stages of leaks during this operation. Now there are two criminal proceedings and an internal investigation. We are establishing whether there was a leak about the departure of certain people or it was a coincidence. Some of the defendants entered Ukraine on Sunday, the day before the searches, and one person (Mindich) left. We understand that there were meetings at which he said that he would not be there on Monday. We need to establish whether he was warned about the searches,” Klymenko explained.

As you know, businessman Timur Mindich is a person involved in the “energy” scheme, which was exposed by the NABU. He left Ukraine at 2:09 a.m. on November 10. After that, he was searched.

Commenting on Mindich’s departure, border guards said that there were no bans on his crossing the border.

“Based on the results of the inspection, we note that this citizen crossed the border legally. Timur was issued a border clearance to leave Ukraine at one of the checkpoints in accordance with the current legislation. He had all the documents authorizing him to cross the border during martial law. We would like to note that no restrictions were imposed on him to ban him from leaving Ukraine,” the SBGS said.
