The bitcoin exchange rate has set a new historical high, exceeding $124.48 thousand, according to data from the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the site, on the morning of October 5 at 08:11 Kyiv time, the value of bitcoin reached $124.9 thousand, an increase of 1.97%. In three minutes, the price rose to $125.18 thousand, which corresponds to an increase of 2.06%.
The previous record was set on August 14, 2025, when the cryptocurrency rate was $124.47 thousand.
Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency based on blockchain technology. Cryptocurrency issuance is limited, and a significant portion of the coins have already been mined. The concept of bitcoin was first published in 2008 by an author (or group of authors) under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.
