Currency exchange rates for February 9: how much are the dollar, euro, and zloty worth?

After the weekend, the hryvnia showed a slight strengthening against major foreign currencies. The National Bank of Ukraine set the updated official exchange rate for the dollar, euro, and Polish zloty on Monday, February 9, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to the regulator, all three currencies fell in price compared to the previous banking day.

Official exchange rates of the NBU for February 9

Dollar exchange rate

  • 1 US dollar — 43.04 UAH
  • A decrease of 10 kopecks.

Euro

  • 1 euro — 50.76 UAH.
  • Decrease by 13 kopecks.

Zloty exchange rate

  • 1 Polish zloty — 12.03 UAH.
  • Decreased by 2 kopecks.

Thus, the hryvnia managed to slightly strengthen its position against several key currencies.

How the exchange rate has changed compared to previous days

On February 6, the official dollar exchange rate was 43.14 UAH, so on Monday, the Ukrainian currency strengthened by almost 9–10 kopecks.

A similar trend was observed for the euro, with the exchange rate falling from 50.90 UAH to 50.76 UAH per euro.

Situation on the interbank market

On the interbank currency market of Ukraine on December 6, as of 16:00, the quotations were as follows:

  • US dollar — 42.99/43.03 UAH
  • euro — 51.70 / 51.73 UAH

Experts note that moderate fluctuations in the exchange rate after the weekend are typical for the market and do not yet indicate a change in the overall currency trend.
