Flats, cars and cryptocurrency: what Prosecutor General Kostin’s deputies declare during the war

The publication of declarations reveals more and more facts about the lives of civil servants: whether they buy new cars during the war or continue to drive old ones, what kind of apartments they live in and what kind they decided to buy. Kommersant Ukrainskyi

202 square metres in Chernivtsi
According to the public declaration of Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ihor Mustetsa, his relative Lyubov Mustetsa purchased a 202 m2 apartment in Chernivtsi in 2022.
Both the Deputy Prosecutor General and his family – wife, son and daughter – have the right to use this apartment.
At the same time, in 2022, the family of Ihor Mustetsi continued to rent a 140 m2 apartment in the capital. Neither the Deputy Prosecutor General nor his wife owns any property in Ukraine.
In 2022, the Deputy Prosecutor General earned more than one and a half million hryvnias from his work, and keeps $84,500 and 13,000 in cash.
Lexus for almost a million hryvnias
Another deputy of Andrii Kostin, Dmytro Verbytskyi, managed to buy a 2021 Lexus ES 300H for UAH 960,000 during the first year of the war. At the same time, online prices for a similar 2021 Lexus start at UAH 1 million 200 thousand.
In 2022, Verbytskyi’s wife Viktoriia also managed to buy “new” cars, but not cars, but an apartment and a land plot, not in Ukraine but in Turkey. According to her published declaration, in May the year before last, she became the owner of a land plot and an apartment in Turkey. The price of the land is unknown, and the apartment is worth almost UAH 4 million. Verbytskyi’s wife also has the right to permanent residence in Turkey.
After purchasing the property abroad, the Verbytsky spouses rented a 94-metre apartment in Kyiv from Dafian LLC.
In 2022, the Deputy Prosecutor General also acquired cryptocurrencies – 1078 USDT and 2 BUSD. In total, the couple has almost 31 thousand dollars, 337 thousand hryvnias and 653 Turkish liras.
