Kyiv residents paid 2-3 thousand hryvnia for a trip from the train station to Troieschyna due to a misunderstanding with the Kyiv City State Administration.

On the evening of January 8, a train that was supposed to arrive in Kyiv at 5:20 p.m. arrived only at 2 a.m. Conductors announced to passengers that a special transfer had been organized and that they could reach their destination by bus.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, special municipal buses were to transport people from nine carriages through the city at night.
The buses were indeed waiting for the delayed passengers, but the drivers refused to leave due to the air raid alert announced in Kyiv. For these reasons, people had to switch to taxis.
This story was told by one of the passengers on the night train, journalist Lyubov Velychko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“The drivers refused. They said their bosses wouldn’t let them drive during an air raid alert,” she said.
Many passengers went to the Vokzalna metro station. Some of them pooled their money to order taxis, paying between 2,500 and 3,000 hryvnia for trips to Troieshchyna and Leningradska Square.
At the same time, the Vokzalna metro station was crowded with Kyiv residents who were waiting out the air raid alert in the subway, and there was almost no room for such a large number of passengers.
This situation sparked heated discussion on social media about the logic of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA). In particular, about the reasons for such behavior by bus drivers.
As is well known, during the day, the capital’s ground public transport runs during an air raid alert, but stops at the nearest shelter so that passengers can get off (if they wish) and go to the shelter, while the transport continues along its route; the metro operates continuously underground, but ground sections and open stations are closed.
Public transport at night is usually limited or non-existent, but in Kyiv, during bad weather or emergencies (such as on January 9), special night routes (buses, trolleybuses, trams, etc.) may be launched.
