Kyiv was left without electricity and heat due to an enemy attack

Emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv on Saturday morning, December 27. The reason is a massive Russian attack on the energy infrastructure of the capital and the region.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Kyiv Digital app.

During the night, the Russian army struck Kyiv and Kyiv region in several waves. At night, residents of the capital reported significant power outages.

Around 08:30, Kyiv Digital reported that there were no power outage schedules in the capital.

Also, as a result of Russia’s combined attack on Kyiv on December 27, almost a third of the capital was left without heat supply.

This was reported on Telegram by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“As a result of the enemy’s attack, almost a third of the capital is now without heat supply.
There is no electricity in some areas of the left bank,” Klitschko said.

He noted that power engineers are already working to restore power supply.

As a reminder, on the night of December 27, Russian troops launched a combined attack on Kyiv. The shelling caused fires in several districts of the capital.

Also on the night of December 27, Russian troops launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, using various types of weapons. Kyiv region, in particular, came under attack. One person was injured in the shelling – a resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region. During the attack, he was driving a truck and sustained shrapnel wounds to his back.

In Vyshhorod, a blast wave smashed windows in a multi-storey building. In Boryspil district, production facilities and two cars were damaged. A fire broke out at a construction site in Buchansky district. In Obukhiv district, a building of a municipal enterprise of one of the territorial communities was damaged.
