Kyivstar, Ukraine’s largest mobile operator, has announced a planned increase in service prices by an average of 25%. The company announced this in response to a request fromthe Interfax-Ukraine news agency, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

Why Kyivstar is changing tariffs

The decision was influenced by several factors, including:

  • growth in service consumption
  • the economic situation in the country;
  • the need to adapt to rising costs, in particular for alternative energy sources.

In addition, regular updates of tariff plans allow the company to optimize services and ensure efficiency.

The company’s press service emphasized that some tariffs have remained unchanged for more than a year or even since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

What will change for subscribers

The company’s press service said that the updated tariffs offer more benefits, including

  • additional minutes for calls to other networks;
  • more gigabytes of mobile Internet;
  • the ability to connect unlimited services, such as unlimited internet, calls or SMS.

These options will be available, for example, in LOVE UA Light Contract 2023, VASH Region, VASH Optimum, Smart Max, VASH Premium, and VASH Premium tariff plans .

At the same time, the company is closing a number of outdated tariffs, including: “VASH Choice, Smart, Kyivstar 4G, Bezlim, Kyivstar 4G Extra 2018 and LOVE UA Magnet Contract 2023. They were offered new, more relevant options that “meet modern needs”.

How Kyivstar ensures network stability

To keep the network running during power outages, the company has purchased about 2.5 thousand generators and 145 thousand lithium batteries, consuming more than 3 million liters of fuel since the beginning of the war. Special units have been set up to maintain the equipment, which work every day from early morning.

“The tariff revision will allow the company to continue investing in improving the network and providing stable communication for our subscribers. Thanks to these changes, we will be able to work even harder on energy sustainability, maintaining uninterrupted network operation, developing 4G and building new base stations,”

– the company emphasizes.

Transparency of changes

The company promises to inform customers in advance about all innovations. Although the exact dates and list of tariffs that may change in 2025 have not yet been determined, Kyivstar assures that it is guided by the principles of transparency in its operations.

The previous tariff increase for some subscribers took place in April-May 2024. Then, as now, the indexation was carried out gradually for different customer groups.

According to the State Statistics Service, the cost of telecommunication services has increased by 4.3% since the beginning of 2024, while electricity has risen by 63.6% and food prices by 10.8%.

Subscribers can choose a new tariff that suits their needs on the company’s website, in the My Kyivstar app or in branded stores.
