Last year, 542 thousand new industrial robots were installed in the world, 54% (295 thousand) of which are in China. This is evidenced by the data of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
They noted that China has great potential for growth of this indicator – by an average of 10% annually until 2028.
The Federation’s report notes that the total number of industrial robots in 2024 doubled compared to 2015, when 254 thousand were installed.
According to IFR estimates, Asia accounted for 74% of all robots last year, Europe for 16%, and the Americas for 9%.
“The robotics industry is not immune to global macroeconomic conditions, but there is no indication that the overall long-term growth trend will end anytime soon,” the report says.
The IFR predicts that this year, industrial robots will be installed by 6% more (575 thousand), and in 2028 this figure will exceed 700 thousand.
