Chinese special envoy holds ‘frank and friendly’ talks in Kyiv

Special Representative of the People’s Republic of China for Eurasia Li Hui visited Kyiv on 7 March as part of his shuttle diplomacy tour. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Kommersant Ukrainian reports ![]()
“Special Representative Li Hui held frank and friendly talks on China-Ukraine relations and the Ukrainian crisis with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Borysovych Yermak, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba. Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine Fan Xianrong, Ukrainian Ambassador to China Pavlo Riabikin, Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk and other officials were present,” the statement said,

The ministry added that the special envoy left Kyiv on the same day.
The visit was part of the Chinese special envoy’s tour of Europe in “search of a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis”. The special envoy started his tour in Moscow.
