EU leaders arrive in Kyiv: what will be discussed on the anniversary of the war

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa have arrived in Kyiv. This became known from the message of the EC President in the social network X, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The visit of the European leaders is timed to coincide with the third anniversary of the start of full-scale Russian aggression.
During the meeting with the leaders of the partner countries, it is planned to discuss key issues of security, peaceful settlement and future guarantees for Ukraine and Europe.
“On the third anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion, Europe is in Kyiv. We are in Kyiv today because Ukraine is Europe. In this struggle for survival, it is not only the fate of Ukraine that is at stake. It is the fate of Europe,” said Ursula von der Leyen.
The meeting is expected to agree on new initiatives to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities, economic support and future integration into the European space.
It should be noted that 13 leaders are expected to come to Kyiv on the third anniversary of the war. Today, February 24, 37 leaders will take part in the summit in Kyiv. Of these, 13 will be present in person, including the leaders of the Nordic countries and the EU leadership.
