In response to the armed aggression against Ukraine, the ANC pharmacy chain continues to systematically support the Armed Forces of Ukraine through targeted humanitarian aid, participation in defense projects, and implementation of programs to support the military. Since the beginning of the summer of 2025, the total amount of humanitarian aid in the form of medicines has amounted to more than UAH 450 thousand. Two large-scale initiatives in the field of air defense were separately funded in the amount of UAH 2 million.

Frontline medicine: direct assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In June of this year, the ANC network handed over medicines worth almost UAH 100 thousand to the military holding the line in the Kursk sector. These are the units working under constant shelling and unstable logistics. The transferred cargo included painkillers, antiseptics and first aid supplies – the stuff that allows to respond quickly to injuries, reduce the risk of complications and maintain the overall physical condition of the soldiers.

This month, another batch of aid was delivered to the military. This time it was sent to the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions. The medicines worth UAH 200 thousand were delivered to the units in the active combat zones. The medicines were selected based on specific requests from the field. This allowed us to provide the military with the medicines that are of immediate importance in conditions of limited access to inpatient care.

A separate initiative was implemented in response to a request from a military medic who, before mobilization, worked as the head of one of the ANC pharmacies. He is currently serving in a military unit in the Pokrovsk sector. In his unit, there was a critical shortage of basic medical supplies: bandages, disinfectants, and antipyretics. In response to this need, the ANC pharmacy network promptly collected and delivered a humanitarian cargo worth UAH 150 thousand. All the medicines were delivered directly to the unit, where they are already being used at the front line.

In addition, in June, we delivered medical supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldiers of the 419th Battalion received them. This was also targeted assistance, based on the current needs at the positions. This form of work is not exceptional, but systematic: since the beginning of the war, the ANC has been regularly involved in volunteer initiatives, supporting units in various parts of the front.

Defending the sky: investing in the safety of Ukrainians

Modern warfare requires new approaches to protecting civilians. The ANC has joined two large-scale projects aimed at countering air threats.

As part of the Drone Strike initiative from the Come Back Alive charitable foundation, the pharmacy chain transferred one million hryvnias to purchase a ground station and twelve FPV interceptors. The equipment was handed over to the 423rd Battalion of Scythian Griffins unmanned systems, which is performing combat missions in the Zaporizhzhia sector. This contribution was a response to the constant attacks by enemy drones that pose a serious threat to our positions.

Another one million hryvnias was allocated by the ANC to the UNITED24 project “Guardians of the Sky”. This is an initiative to raise funds for the purchase of turrets with artificial intelligence systems to destroy air targets. The campaign, given the large-scale shelling of the country recently, is an opportunity for Ukrainian cities to fall asleep without fear, to live in peace without fear of alarm.

Social initiatives: caring for the military in the rear

The ANC’s assistance is not only about supporting the front line. We care about the health of our defenders even after they return home. For combatants, there is a permanent 5% discount in all ANC pharmacies, including those under the Kopiyka and SHAR brands.

Caring for the health of defenders continues after they return home

To take advantage of the discount, a veteran just needs to show the barcode of the UBD ID in the Diia app during payment, after which the discount is automatically granted. The idea behind the initiative is not to create complicated procedures but to provide a simple, everyday support tool for those who need it.

ANC pharmacy chain was founded in 2000 in Zaporizhzhia. The company began its journey with regular format pharmacies under the brands Apteka ANC and Apteka Blagodiya. The company developed rapidly and opened more than two hundred pharmacies in the first 10 years alone.
Currently, the chain of pharmacies under the brands Apteka ANC, Kopiyka, and SHAR@ is the largest in Ukraine and has been ranked first in the ranking of pharmacy chains by market share for more than 13 years in a row.
