Liudmyla Suhak temporarily heads the Ministry of Justice: what is known about her

The Cabinet of Ministers has temporarily entrusted Lyudmyla Suhak, Deputy Minister for European Integration, with the duties of Minister of Justice. This decision was made after the suspension of Herman Halushchenko, who said he was ready to defend himself in the legal field, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the Cabinet of Ministers.
Biography
Lyudmyla Suhak was born on January 6, 1987 in the city of Bershad, Vinnytsia region.
She graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where she first received a bachelor’s degree in international relations (2008) and then a master’s degree in international law (2010).
Career
According to the website of the Ministry of Justice, Liudmyla Suhak started working while still studying. Her professional career began in December 2006 at the Interregional Legal Union, where she worked as a lawyer until September 2008.
After that, she joined the civil service:
2008-2010 – specialist in the executive office of the Kyiv Regional Council;
2010-2013 – Chief Specialist of the Central Office of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
2013-2014 – assistant to MP Volodymyr Vecherko (Party of Regions).
In February 2014, she returned to the Ministry of Justice, where she rose from Deputy Director of the Department to Head of the Department for European Integration and Legal Cooperation with International Organizations.

From May 2017 to July 2023, Liudmyla Suhak worked at the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption (ARMA), where she headed the international department.
In July 2023, Sugak returned to the Ministry of Justice as Deputy Minister of Justice for European Integration. In this position, she was in charge of harmonizing Ukrainian legislation with the European one and cooperation with international partners.

In March 2025, Liudmyla Suhak filed a declaration of her income for the previous year.
In February 2017, the official purchased an apartment in Kyiv (58.9 square meters) for UAH 765.7 thousand.
