November was a record month: Ukraine sharply increased diesel imports

16 December 11:17

Amid power outages and generators in November, diesel imports to Ukraine increased by 23% to 700,000 tons, the highest volume since 2022. The supplies were made by 134 companies.

This was reported by enkorr, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

It is noted that the growth of supplies was facilitated by the reopening of the port of Constanta and the unblocking of the port of Giurgiulesti, but the volume of supplies from Romania has not yet returned to the previous level.

Which companies imported the most diesel fuel

OKKO imported the most diesel in November – 115,000 tons. This is a record not just for the operator itself, but also for the market. The main deliveries were made from Orlen (75,100 tons), as well as from Unimot (10,000 tons) and Vitaro Energy (15,000 tons). Most of the diesel fuel was delivered by rail across the western border.

The second place goes to UPG , which delivered 70,000 tons of diesel fuel to (60,000 tons in October).

In November, Energo Tradeincreased its imports by 37% (61 thousand tons), but has not yet reached the average volume of the third quarter (92.4 thousand tons). The decline was mainly caused by a decrease in supplies from Slovakia by pipeline, which were replaced by Romania in November.

The volume of diesel fuel supplies in November was also increased by Peid, which imported a record 60,000 tons (38% compared to October).

WOG also broke its own record with 39,000 tons (13% up on October). Like OKKO, Orlen became the main supplier.

D.Trading also imported a record 38,000 tons of diesel in November.

The Western Fuel and Energy Company continues its upward movement gradually but confidently. From 18 thousand tons in August, the volume of diesel imports increased to almost 42 thousand tons in November.

Martin Tradealso had a good month, as the company showed the second best result for the year – 27 thousand tons (29 thousand tons in August).

It should be noted that oil prices remain low, and diesel fuel in the wholesale market is getting cheaper after a sharp rise in November. However, gas station chains are in no hurry to cut gasoline and diesel prices in anticipation of new excise taxes starting January 1.
