Maguchikh donates UAH 500 thousand for treatment of Azov soldiers

Ukrainian athlete and Olympic champion Yaroslava Maguchikh has donated 500,000 hryvnias to the Azov patronage service. This was reported by the head of the Azov Angels patronage service, Olena Tolkacheva, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

“I was pleasantly surprised when in the evening I received a message about a donation of 500,000 from Ukrainian Olympic athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh,” Tolkacheva wrote.

The head of the Azov Angels said that the funds were used to pay for the treatment of soldiers with severe neurotrauma and traumatic brain injuries who are in a rehabilitation centre.

As a reminder, Yaroslava Maguchikh won a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Ukrainian will receive $125,000 in prize money for the victory.

Maguchikh previously announced that she would use part of the money to help the Ukrainian Defence Forces, a psychological support fund and animal shelters.
