Massive attack on Ukraine: Klitschko tells about the victims in Kyiv

The shelling of Kyiv by the Russian Armed Forces on 8 July claimed the lives of 17 people. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the official Telegram channel of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“The number of victims in different districts of the capital has increased to 66 people. 44 of them were hospitalised in the city’s medical institutions. Others were treated on the spot,” the mayor wrote.

Klitschko also clarified the victims of the Russian shelling at the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital. According to the official, there were two adults killed there. One of them is a doctor who worked in this medical institution. The name of the doctor is not yet known.

In addition, two people were killed in Dniprovsky district as a result of debris falling on a medical centre. There are also victims there. The building of the medical centre was damaged. Emergency services are working at the scene.

“The rubble is being cleared from the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital. The city is providing assistance to the victims and in eliminating the consequences of the massive attack,” Vitali Klitschko summed up.
