Fundamental changes are starting to take place in the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that will affect the situation at the front in favor of Ukraine. This is reported by the official Telegram channel of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

It is noted that this transformation will cover recruiting and military training, the latest technologies and battle management, digitalization of processes in the army, transformation of management, logistics and social support for the military.

“The Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine must become high-tech, flexible and adaptive. An elite force! People, technology and transparent management are our focus,” emphasized Major General Mykhailo Drapaty.

He added that the announced changes have the full support of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and will be implemented jointly with the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense and civil society: volunteers and charitable foundations.

What and how will change in the Land Forces?

First of all, the changes will affect military training. It is about reforming training programs and centers, as well as using state-of-the-art simulators and other new technologies in training to make the training of soldiers better adapted to the needs of the front line.

“The skills and abilities of our infantryman should be as applied and practical as possible, without unnecessary lyrics, and the main carriers of this knowledge will be the NCO corps with combat experience. These changes will emphasize the principles of military leadership and knowledge of technology. Without such skills, it is impossible to control the chaos of battle, and now it is one of the main goals to change the situation at the front,” explains Mykhailo Drapaty.

Next up is recruiting and social support. The Army will introduce a transparent recruitment model with zero tolerance for corruption. At the same time, the approach to social support for servicemen will change. They should feel constantly cared for: from the first day of service to employment in civilian life after discharge.

Of course, attention will be focused on technology, as the Ukrainian infantryman must have a technological advantage over the enemy on the battlefield.

Theoptimization will also affect management processes. The goal is “maneuverability and efficiency” in the administrative apparatus, based on organizational changes and digitalization.

Logistics and military training will be the first areas to experience management changes. After all, they are crucial for the combat capability of the Ukrainian army.

“We have to complete our work with a double victory: over the enemy and over everything that has hindered the transformation of the army. Together!” summarized the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As you know, Mykhailo Drapaty was appointed as the new Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in late November. Announcing this appointment, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminded that Major General Mykhailo Drapaty successfully organized defense in the Kharkiv sector and disrupted the offensive of Russian forces.

MP Mariana Bezuhla was more verbose when speaking about the newly appointed commander of the Land Forces. She noted that Mykhailo Drapaty is the best combat general and that wherever he is sent, the frontline stabilizes. As an example, she recalled that when Drapaty headed the Toretsk direction at the time of the biggest crisis, ensuring the protection of Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka and Druzhkivka, the situation was stabilized.

However, the MP did not like the fact that the general was appointed to a non-combatant position.

“Instead of expanding Drapatyi’s combat powers and giving him control over most of the front, he is appointed to the rear position of the Army Commander. “An honorable promotion,” Mariana Bezuhla said at the time.

She believes that even with carte blanche, which Drapaty did not receive, it would take several months to sort out the rear issues. But the general’s specialty is combat management, in which he has achieved unique skill.
