Massive rf attack on the night of August 19: two children wounded, Poltava power plant damaged

Ukraine experienced another massive shelling by Russia this night. The enemy used hundreds of drones and missiles of various types. The air force reports record air defense results, but debris and direct hits damaged civilian and energy infrastructure in several regions, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Massive attack: air force report
According to the AFU Air Force Command, 230 attack drones were shot down overnight, as well as two ballistic and four cruise missiles.
Despite the air defense successes, some of the strikes reached their targets. The Poltava region suffered the most.
Poltava region: strikes on the energy sector
The enemy attacked energy infrastructure facilities, particularly in Kremenchug and Luben districts.
As reported by the Chairman of the Poltava Regional State Administration Vladimir Kogut, the attack resulted in the de-energization of part of the region.
“Recorded hit and falling debris in the Kremenchug and Luben districts. Affected administrative buildings of local enterprises of the energy sector. In Lubensky district as a result of the attack without light left 1471 household and 119 legal subscribers. State Emergency Situations Service and energy sector units are working to overcome the consequences of the attack. Fortunately, did without victims”,

TheState Emergency Situations Service informs that there were no fires and large-scale destruction, but due to the shelling there are interruptions with light. Emergency crews are already working to restore power supply.
Kharkiv region: two children were injured
The mayor of Lozova Sergey Zelensky reported an enemy attack on the Lozova territorial community. The Russian military struck a residential sector, as a result of which four residents were injured.
The strike came directly on a residential house in the locality.
Among the victims of the aggression are two children aged 2 and 8. However, the official did not report their condition.
Sumy region: a residential house was damaged
A 62-year-old woman was injured in Peschanskiy starostat of the Sumy community. However, the injuries are not serious – did without even hospitalization.
“Damaged 7 private residential houses, 3 high-rise buildings, 4 trolleybuses, a bus, as well as destroyed the building of an educational institution. Significant destruction was also subjected to other civilian infrastructure.”

Enemy losses
On the morning of August 19, the AFU General Staff reported the elimination of another 890 Russian military personnel over the day. The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the full-scale war exceeded 1 million 71 thousand people.

Therefore, last night Ukrainian air defense demonstrated good efficiency, shooting down 2 ballistic and 4 cruise missiles, as well as the absolute majority of launched drones. At the same time, strikes on Poltavska, Kharkivska and Sumska once again showed that even with powerful air defense, debris and single hits leave serious consequences for civilian infrastructure.
