“Maidan-3: what Russia wants to achieve in Ukraine in the coming months

During March-May this year, Russia plans to conduct a series of information and other special operations in Ukraine aimed at maximising the destabilisation of Ukrainian society. This is stated in a statement released by the Intelligence Committee under the President of Ukraine, according to 
“The main directions and goals of the enemy are to disrupt Ukrainian mobilisation, spread disinformation about Ukraine’s inability to win, create and spread fakes about “fatigue from Ukraine” among our partners and allies in the world. The global international goal of the Russians is to reduce the support for our country from the pro-Ukrainian coalition in the world,” the statement said,

Inside Ukraine, the Russians will try to demoralise Ukrainians, sow panic among the population, and drive a wedge between the military and civilians.
“…in November last year, as part of the Maidan-3 special operation, Russia spent almost $250 million on spreading anti-Ukrainian sentiment on the Telegram platform alone. The total budget of the operation was an astronomical $1.5 billion. This is the most expensive “action” of the Russian special services in history.”
In March-May 2024, the Maidan-3 special operation is expected to reach its culmination.
One of the enemy’s plans is related to the fact that the constitutional term of office of the President of Ukraine expires on 20 May. Russia will do its best to promote the thesis that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and any decisions he makes from now on will be illegitimate.
At the same time, Russia will claim to have created new types of superweapons, which allegedly provide it with a technological advantage over the West. This message will already be directed to the Western audience and its goal will be to persuade the West to engage in a dialogue without Ukraine’s participation.
“According to the enemy’s plan, in the first half of June, the situation in our country will be shaken and then, taking advantage of the situation, Ukraine will be defeated militarily in the East, which is the key idea of their operation,”
