Microgrants increased, conditions simplified: what is changing in the “Vlasna Dlia” program

7 January 15:40

In 2026, the state project “Own Business” will continue to operate with updated conditions and increased amounts of financial support for entrepreneurs. The State Employment Service of Ukraine announced the entry into force of the new rules, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

What has changed since January 1

Since the beginning of 2026, the state has increased the maximum amount of microgrants. From now on, Ukrainians can receive

  • up to UAH 100 thousand – subject to registration as an individual entrepreneur;
  • up to UAH 200 thousand for the creation of one workplace;
  • up to UAH 350 thousand – for the creation of at least two jobs;
  • up to UAH 200 thousand – for young people aged 18-25 without a requirement for employment.

The term of implementation of grant projects remains unchanged – three years.

Who gets priority

Improved conditions remain for businesses in the fields of preschool education and creative industries, as well as for projects implemented in the frontline regions. According to the Employment Service, these are the areas that need additional support in times of war.

More banks – wider access

In 2026, the list of banks servicing the Vlasna Dela program will be expanded. After the technical procedures are completed, PrivatBank and Sens Bank will join the program, which should make it easier for entrepreneurs to access grant funding.

Not just money

Yulia Zhovtyak, director of the State Employment Service, calls the Vlasna Dela program an indicator of the service’s transformation in recent years. According to her, receiving a grant is accompanied by post-grant support, and entrepreneurs note the help of specialists at all stages – from idea to business implementation.

How the program developed

The “Own Business” project was launched in the summer of 2022, and in 2023 it was supplemented by a veteran program. Last year, funding was increased for businesses in education, the creative economy, and in the frontline regions.

Over the course of the program, about 34,000 entrepreneurs have received financial support totaling UAH 8.8 billion. Of these, 80% of the grants were used to develop existing businesses, and 20% were used to start a new business.

The Ministry of Economy estimated that in 2025, the Made in Ukraine program added almost one percentage point to GDP growth.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has previously stated that in 2026 the government will not only expand “Vlasna Dela” but also introduce insurance against war risks and support the promotion of Ukrainian exports at international exhibitions.
