One million per month: the salary of Ukrenergo CEO has doubled

In May 2025, Oleksiy Brekht, acting CEO of NPC Ukrenergo, received more than UAH 1 million in salary. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the company’s report.
The total amount of accrued salary amounted to UAH 1,060,705.80. As Ukrenergo clarifies, this amount includes a performance-based payment in 2023, as stipulated in the CEO’s employment contract (part 2).
Taxes of UAH 316,834.20 were withheld from this amount, including UAH 68,877 of military duty. In addition, the company accrued an additional benefit to the CEO in the form of health insurance in the amount of UAH 33,333.32.
Interestingly, this amount is almost twice as much as the remuneration received by the then Chairman of the Board of Directors Volodymyr Kudrytskyi in May 2024. This resonates amid the difficult situation in Ukraine’s energy sector and the critical burden on the state budget.
At the same time, data on the salaries of other members of the Ukrenergo board were also made public:
- Oleh Skrypnyk, member of the Board:
Salary – UAH 203,795.97
Taxes – UAH 60,874.11, of which UAH 13,233.50 is a military fee
Health insurance – UAH 23,780.48 - Sergey Galagan, member of the Management Board:
Salary – UAH 255,245.83
Taxes – UAH 76,242.27, of which UAH 16,574.41 is military duty
Health insurance – UAH 24,999.99 - Vadym Zaichenko, member of the Management Board:
Salary – UAH 196,783.36
Taxes – UAH 58,779.44, of which UAH 12,778.14 is military duty
Health insurance – UAH 8,333.33.
As it is known, the previous Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi was dismissed on September 2 by the decision of the majority of the Supervisory Board members.
on September 3, independent members of the Supervisory Board of NPC Ukrenergo Daniel Dobbeny and Peder Andreansen resigned, as they considered the early dismissal of the company’s CEO Volodymyr Kudrytskyi to be politically motivated.
on October 11, it was announced that a competitive selection would be held for the positions of three independent members of the Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo. The process of forming a new supervisory board was completed on December 11 last year. ” Kommersant Ukrainsky reported on this.
Since it took at least 3 months to launch the competition for the selection of a new head of the company and conduct all the necessary competitive procedures, Oleksiy Brekht, who was responsible for the operation and development of the grid at Ukrenergo, was appointed acting head of the NPC.
