The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine denies information about the possible suspension of payments of military personnel.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
What does the Ministry of Finance say?
“Financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine is an absolute priority for the Ministry of Finance. For more than three years of the full-scale war against Russia, all payments to the military have been made on time and in full. It will be the same in the future,” the statement reads.
The ministry emphasized that the defenders of Ukraine are receiving and will continue to receive financial support according to the plan, and the funds for this are provided for in the state budget of Ukraine for 2025.
“We note that the information disseminated by the media about the threat of payments is not true,” the Ministry of Finance emphasized.
What preceded it?
Earlier, the media reported that due to the upcoming expenditures of the Ministry of Defense for the purchase of ammunition and weapons, the military may be left without financial support at the end of the year, and to solve this problem, the government will have to increase defense spending by more than UAH 200 billion.
