Russian troops have struck an industrial enterprise and a logistics base in Kyiv, while other facilities in the Ukrainian capital were not attacked.
This was stated by the Russian Defense Ministry, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing Russian media.
The ministry said that on September 7, the Russian Armed Forces attacked various facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the central, southern and eastern parts of Ukraine, including the industrial enterprise Kyiv-67 on the western outskirts of Kyiv and the logistics base STS-GROUP in the south of the city.
“The strike has achieved its objective, all the designated targets have been hit. No other targets within Kyiv were hit,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
On Sunday, a fire broke out in the Ukrainian government building in Kyiv amid the repulsion of a drone attack. According to Ukrainian media, the fire broke out on the top floor, above the prime minister’s office and the Cabinet meeting room.
Ukrainian authorities accused Russia of attacking the building and called on the West to increase pressure on Moscow. Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said it was a “serious escalation.”
