Russian Ministry of Defense launches fake news about “barrier detachments” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sumy region

Lieutenant General of the Defense Ministry Apti Alaudinov said that the Ukrainian military is deploying barrier detachments in the Sumy region.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian media.

“At the moment, I would not say that any special forces are seriously opposing us. The barrier units do not allow Ukrainian troops to retreat or surrender,” Alaudinov said.

The alleged proof of the existence of barrier units is the words of a former Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier who defected to the enemy.

The traitor with the call sign “Shchuka” said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use UAV units as barrier detachments for their military who want to escape from the battlefield or surrender to Russian captivity.
